A three-day weekend works beautifully. It gives you time for live music, one museum or tour, 12South shopping, and meals that do not happen while sprinting to the next reservation.
Where should a first-time group stay in Nashville?
Downtown or SoBro is easiest for major attractions and nightlife. Choose the Gulch for polished restaurants and shops, or Germantown for a quieter neighborhood feel with excellent food.
Do you need a car in Nashville?
Not for a short weekend if you stay centrally and use rideshares. Nashville's highlights are spread across neighborhoods, so plan each outing by area rather than zigzagging across town.
Do we need to spend the whole weekend on Broadway?
Absolutely not. Give Lower Broadway a deliberate window, then balance it with a seated show, rooftop, museum, garden, or neighborhood dinner. Music City has range.
