Choose January for a quieter snow-globe weekend and the Ice Hotel without Carnival crowds. Choose February 5–14, 2027 for Bonhomme, parades, outdoor events, and the city's biggest winter energy.
How cold is Québec City in winter?
It is genuinely cold, with snow, wind, and icy cobblestones. Pack an insulated coat, waterproof boots with traction, warm base layers, mittens, and a portable charger for batteries that dislike winter.
Do you need a car for a Québec City winter weekend?
