The Concept

Here's a secret the parents in the stroller-line don't want you to know: Disney is better as a grown-up. Nobody's melting down at 2pm. Nobody needs a nap (well — maybe you, poolside, and that's allowed). You can drink around the World Showcase, book the spa treatment, sleep in, and say yes to the fireworks nightcap without a bedtime to beat. This is Disney for women who've earned the club-level upgrade.

So grab your besties and ditch the guilt. We built this weekend around three grown-up luxuries: a club-level room so someone else pours the wine and stocks the snacks, a spa day that resets your whole nervous system, and a private VIP tour so you skip every single line and just… float through the magic. It's a girls' weekend styled with intention — a little sparkle, a lot of laughing, zero minivan energy.

Getting There

Fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO), about 30–40 minutes from the Disney resorts. Skip the rental car headache — a private car or rideshare drops you right at the lobby, and once you're on property, Disney's monorail, boats, Skyliner, and buses ferry you everywhere so nobody has to be the designated driver. Pro move: book a resort with club level and you'll barely need to leave the bubble.

Where to Stay

The Iconic One: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The grande dame of Disney hotels, and the beating heart of this whole trip. Book the Royal Palm Club (club level) for a private lounge with all-day snacks, evening apps, and cordials — plus your own concierge. It's home to Senses Spa, the fine-dining Victoria & Albert's, and the Enchanted Rose lounge — and it's one monorail stop from Magic Kingdom. Grown-up glamour, full stop.

The Chic One: Disney's Riviera Resort

If the Grand Floridian is old-Hollywood, the Riviera is a European rooftop fantasy — think the French and Italian Riviera, warm terracotta and terraces. Club level here is intimate and stylish. The crown jewel is Topolino's Terrace, the rooftop restaurant with fireworks views, and the Skyliner glides you straight to Epcot. Boutique, romantic, and made for slow mornings with espresso.

The Classic One: Disney's BoardWalk Inn

Turn-of-the-century Atlantic City charm with the best nightlife address on property. Club level puts you steps from the BoardWalk promenade — dueling pianos at Jellyrolls, the speakeasy-style AbracadaBar, and a five-minute stroll to Epcot's back gate. For a girls' trip that wants to actually go out at night, this is your spot.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive, Sip & Shop

Land, check in, and let the concierge take it from here. Ease into the weekend with zero park pressure — tonight is all about food, drinks, and getting your feet under you.

  • Afternoon: Settle into your club-level lounge, then head to Disney Springs for waterfront shopping — boutiques, the world's biggest Disney store, and plenty of “I'm on vacation” impulse buys.
  • Evening: Dinner at The Boathouse — waterfront steak & seafood on the lagoon (highly recommended; ask about the vintage Amphicar rides). Prefer wine and small plates? Swap in Wine Bar George (the only Master Sommelier–run spot on property) or tapas at Jaleo by José Andrés. Nightcap in the speakeasy at Enzo's Hideaway.

Day 2: VIP Tour & Drink Around the World

Today you go behind the velvet rope. A private Disney VIP guide skips every line, times every ride, and makes a four-park day feel effortless — then you land at Epcot for the grown-up main event.

  • Morning: Meet your Disney VIP Tour guide (7-hour minimum; premium price, but split among the group it's the ultimate flex). Hit the headliners with no waiting — front of every line.
  • Afternoon: Land at Epcot's World Showcase and “drink around the world” — a margarita in Mexico, prosecco in Italy, a Grey Goose slush in France. Pace yourselves, queens.
  • Evening: Snag a spot for the nighttime fireworks spectacular, then a nightcap back at the Enchanted Rose.

Day 3: Spa Day & a Splurge Dinner

You've done the parks — now you reset. Today is soft, slow, and indulgent from start to finish.

  • Morning: Sleep in, then a long, luxurious morning at Senses Spa — massages, facials, and time in the relaxation room. Book treatments back-to-back so nobody's rushing.
  • Afternoon: Poolside cocktails and absolutely nothing on the agenda. Read, float, gossip.
  • Evening: The splurge — a multi-course tasting menu at Victoria & Albert's, the property's crown-jewel fine-dining room (dress up; it's an event). Toast to the trip.

Day 4: Slow Brunch & Fly Home

No rush, no regrets. Ease out the same way you eased in.

  • Morning: Rooftop brunch at Topolino's Terrace — mimosas, a view, and one last long table of laughing.
  • Afternoon: Last swing through the lounge, grab your bags, and let a private car glide you back to MCO. You'll already be planning the next one.

What to Pack — Grown-Up Disney

You're doing Disney in daylight and dinner reservations by night, so pack for both. Comfort for the miles, a little polish for the club lounge and the tasting menu.

  • Cute-but-cushioned sneakers or supportive sandals (you'll walk miles — vanity has limits)
  • One “nice dinner” outfit for Victoria & Albert's (dress code is real)
  • A crossbody bag that fits phone, portable charger, and lip gloss
  • A packable rain poncho — Florida showers come and go fast
  • Sunglasses, SPF, and a wide-brim hat for World Showcase
  • A swimsuit + cover-up for spa-day poolside lounging
  • A light wrap or jacket — restaurants and lounges run cold

The GGC Bottom Line

Disney isn't just for the little ones — it might be even better without them. Club level means you're pampered from check-in, the spa day melts off a decade, and that VIP tour will ruin standing in lines for you forever (worth it). Round it out with cocktails around the world and a splurge dinner you'll still be talking about at book club, and you've got a girls' weekend that's equal parts nostalgia and grown-up glamour. Ditch the guilt, keep the magic. You've earned this one, ladies.
